Mediation is a process where I assist separating or already
separated couples to identify the issues that require resolution, and facilitate respectful conversations about how they may resolve those issues. Mediation avoids adversarial and demeaning litigation. Rather than battling it out in court, the parties commit to reaching a resolution that keeps control of the result in their own hands and avoids spending attorney’s fees on needless and angry courtroom battles. I conduct mediation meetings with the separating couple during which we discuss the topics that are in dispute, and the topics that are required be contained in a Marital Settlement Agreement, with the common goal of reaching agreement to avoid lengthy and expensive court litigation. Most couples find mediation to be the least expensive option for resolving their family law and divorce disputes.
